Concrete Saw Operator - Longview

Essential Functions
  • Cooperation with job site superintendents/customers
  • Coordination of daily schedule with dispatch and manager
  • Complete job-related paperwork
  • Responsible for cleanliness, maintenance, and security of equipment on daily basis
  • Operating, transporting and proficient use of company equipment including saws, saw blades, core drills, jack hammers, small tools, etc.
 
Required Skills and Experience
  • Concrete Sawing or Core Drilling Experience
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • A mechanical aptitude
  • Available to work varied hours as needed to meet our customers' demands
  • Loader, boom lift, forklift and scissor lift experience a plus but not necessary
  • Demolition experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, tools/equipment and OSHA guidelines.
  • High school diploma.
  • Aptitude in math.
  • Follow all safety policies and PPE use.

  • Employee must be able to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task, good organizational skills, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
  • Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices.
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are normally Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 
 
Travel
Travel to the jobsites is expected for this position.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Some equipment can be extremely heavy and will require a lot of strength to move or manipulate.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  Must have the ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events.
 
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, rough and uneven surfaces, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
