Supply Chain Clerk - Regional Concrete Production

Inventory & Forecasting
  • Track daily inventory levels of aggregates (sand, rock, fly ash, cement) across assigned plants
  • Maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstocking
  • Identify and communicate inventory risks and discrepancies
  • Reconcile physical counts with daily reports and support production-based forecasting
 
Production Reporting
  • Track and report daily production volumes and material usage by plant
  • Maintain accurate records of aggregate consumption tied to mix designs
  • Prepare regular reports on production, inventory, and material efficiency
  • Assist in analyzing variances and material loss
 
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
  • Solicit quotes and negotiate pricing to maintain competitive material costs
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors to improve supply reliability and pricing
  • Coordinate purchase orders and delivery schedules
 
Logistics & Coordination
  • Align material deliveries with plant production schedules
  • Coordinate inbound aggregate shipments for timeliness and cost efficiency
  • Assist in monitoring and optimizing haul and freight costs
 
Data & Administrative Support
  • Maintain accurate records in inventory
  • Ensure delivery tickets, invoices, and documentation are complete and accurate
  • Support audits, inventory counts, and compliance reporting
  • Collaborate with operations, quality control, and accounting teams
  • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and continuous improvement efforts
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory, or construction materials preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data tracking systems
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are normally Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, schedule is subject to change due to company demands.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
 
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
