Service Lube Technician

ssential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect and perform periodic maintenance.
  • Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
  • Perform services properly and safely.
  • Ability to review and understand the PM intervals and schedules.
  • Maintain and complete all necessary reports legibly and in a timely fashion for parts ordering, special tooling usage, daily service reports, and work order closure.
  • Communicate progress of repair with direct supervisor as required.
  • Retrieve & return of parts and/or materials through parts ordering system.
  • Retrieve & return of special tools through Company’s Tool Room.
  • Maintain proper care and use of special tools including major shop equipment, such as but not limited to, air compressor, cleaning tanks, overhead and jib cranes, etc.
  • Complete all services accurately, safely and in a timely manner to meet productivity goals.
  • Safely operate drive and maintain company lube truck.
  • Continuously research and learn as required in order to improve knowledge and abilities as machine models change.
  • Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal proficiency level.
  • Follow all safety policies and PPE use.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Two years heavy equipment service experience
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Tanker and Hazmat Endorsement

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are normally Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; however, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisor responsibility.
 
Travel
Travel is required.

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions, rough uneven surfaces and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
